We Are Really Different

We Are Really Different

On the crossroads

One of the biggest reasons that this company was started was that I saw a number of issues in the current home care market.  It is important to understand that we are really different on many levels from other home care companies.  Some of these differences are in processes, and others are cultural.

We believe that our clients are very important, and that their needs are paramount.  Clients should receive the very best care, to the level that you would provide if you were there.  That means that we have an integrated quality assurance program, and make random, unannounced visits, to ensure that the level of care that we promise is truly being delivered.  If a caregiver is supposed to be performing light housekeeping, we will make sure that the housekeeping is happening on a consistent, ongoing basis, from sweeping, vacuuming, and taking out the trash.   We also use technology to ensure that the hours the caregivers report are accurate.   We also give our employees paid time off, so that they are much less likely to come to work sick, which means that the risk of illness is much lower.  We want to take the best possible care of our clients, because that is who we are.

We also realize that our employees are the backbone of our business, and their needs are also very important.  Our employees have families to take care of and feed.  To that end, we pay our employees significantly above the industry standard, and also offer benefits, such as paid time off, and a 401K.  We also encourage employees to learn about financial literacy.  This is important, because too many people do not receive enough financial education to understand the implications of various decisions.  We realize that we have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our employees, and we are taking the opportunity to do so.  We encourage our employees to further their education, so that they can move ahead in the company.  This includes pursuing certifications and degrees.  Alisa, one of our supervisors, used to be one of my dad’s caregivers.  This means that she’s seen it and done it all, and does it very well.

We truly are different from the rest, and aim to set ourselves apart from them.  Take a chance, and contact us today at 919.629.2044, or email us at care@theExtensionOfYou.com
